"Your beauty should not come from the outside...rather, it should be that of your inner self...which is of great worth in God's sight."
Dear Little Sister,
Hi Friends!!! It's here! School is here! AHHH! But don't you dare start to worry we've totally got this! We are about to begin our preparation for the BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER! Today I'll show you 5 staples for every girl going back to school! Eeeeeven if you don't like makeup, these work great on EVERYONE! And guess what-it's all soft and natural. So you still look like you.
Today, We will be creating this look! If your curious to see how I do it-here we go!
Alright! So Rule #1-Your skin is the Top Priority my friends!! With this, you can run out the door with some mascara and lip gloss and you're all set. Try to go for something like a tinted moisturizer, cc cream or bb cream. These little gems have spf, color correction, coverage and looks natural!
Tip: Try going for one that is a buildable coverage. That way-you don't have to worry about concealer. Above I'm wearing the "Erborian CC Creme"(dore)! It's alllways in my purse for touch ups. I also love the Jouer tinted moisturizers, or the BB Creams from good ol' maybeline.
TOTAL best friend here! Cream eyeshadows are smooth and easy to blend-especially in a hurry. You don't need a brush, all you need is your ring finger! Above I'm wearing a Kevin Aucoin cream eyeshadow. I also am OBSESSED with the loreal duo sided cream eyeshadows. There's a matte AND shimmer on either side! So easy to use!
Tip: Use your bronzer to warm up the cream eyeshadow and create beautiful depth. (It's all I'm wearing in that photo btw!)
*Favorite trick in the book.* Don't have blush? Grab your lipstick, balm, or lip tint and gently blend on the apples of your cheeks. That cream formula will blend easily!
Tip: Make sure to sweep you blush up and back to the hairline! It looks more of your natural flush of color. And we all don't want clown cheeks lol!
4) Smudge Liner
Gone are the days of confusing liquid liner! Poof! Look-they've disappeared! If you are just starting with makeup, or simply don't have the time-eyeliner is definitely NOT the thing you want to rush with. So what do we do?!
Switch out your liquid liner for a smudge stick. Just place it as close to the lash line as you can, and smudge with your brush or even finger. This gives an effortless dimension to the eyes without having to worry if it's perfect. Messier the better! (Most are waterproof!)
Tip:Apply your liner BEFORE eyeshadow. It looks sooo chic! My favorites are the smudge sticks from Stila, Jouer, and the gel pots from Maybelline.
5) Translucent Powder
This will keep you shine free all day!! Just throw it in your purse right before picture day and you'll be fresh and ready to go!
Tip: If you have dry skin like myself, go ahead and try a setting spray instead! It will leave the skin glowing and keep everything in place!
Look how easy that was!! Ladies, makeup does not have to be hard, or stressful! It's fun! So minimize your worries by minimizing your makeup routine. Let me know what you think! Did you enjoy this post? I can't wait to show you the rest in our series!! We've got this school year guys!!
