Iiiiiii don't know about you but going back to school is the WORST! Lol I mean the night before gives you so many jitters it's hard to sleep! But hey! You know there's something different about this year don't you? Something about this year is going to be different from the rest. It will! Go on say it-"No matter what, this year will be great!"
So don't be stressed! You know we've got this!! These are 5 really cool hacks that can help make things a liiiitttlle bit easier 😉.
1)The Struggle with headphones
Your backpack-is your best friend. This is your emergency kit!! And first? There's nothing worse than wanting to listen to ur music in the halls and you forgot your headphones. Or they broke and you can't use them on the bus!! But have no fear my friends. Just use a simple box of mints. You can lightly place your headphones in an empty box of mints or altoids and you'll never lose them again!
2) Everyone wants gum
Always! Lol someone will allllllways want gum if they see that you have it. The trick is to carry 2 packs-one that's empty, and one that's full! 😂 It's an awful trick I know-but you'd be surprised on how well it works!
Tip: When on the bus/or just plain bored at school, I always would bring a backup project to do in case my phone dies or something. Even grab a good book! I love Lilly Singh's How to be a Bawse. (If you haven't noticed from all the times I quote it! lol)
3) Whaaaat do I wear?!
This is such an easy trick it's honestly become more of a lifestyle choice for me lol. What I like to do is pick more neutral outfits, then if I want a bit of fun I'll add it that morning! Example, if I have a plain white t and jeans-I could add a bold necklace, a fun lip color, converse, or combat boots and create completely different looks with no trouble!

4) Getting Hangry
Two words-say it with me, "Yogurt. Pops." Lol no one likes being hungry!! But between finding what to wear, showering, and grabbing your homework ( which you totally finished the night before yes?) sometimes breakfast gets totally forgotten. Want to avoid this? Definitely hang out in the kitchen the night before so you can have your breakfast ready for you when you leave!
Tip: You can put yogurt in little Dixie cups in the freezer at night! Place a Popsicle stick in the middle and you've got a little yogurt pop. Comment below if you'd like to see "easy breakfast ideas" for back to school!
5) Where do I fit in?!
As some of you may know, I totally survived middle school and highschool by joining clubs and groups. It's honestly where I met my friends. But what do you do if you don't like anything that your school offers?? Well-go ahead and make your own group!! My dear friend Sam taught me this. She created a dance team at our highschool with her amazing talented friends! Heehee-Hi Sam! 😘 It's so hard to find where you fit in, but trust me, this can totally help. (Btw, We'll be talking more about this next week, so stay tuned!)
