Dear Little Sister...Dances 101(The Look)

Dear Little Sister,

THIS IS IT!! Omgomgomgomgomg I'm trying so hard to stay calm. If I could talk about this everyday-wait. I do! Haha! But today I get to with YOU!

Okay so when you picture Formals-I'm sure you picture the sparkly shoes with the huge lashes and the taste of hairspray and yadayadayada. But oh, there are so many looks you can rock at dances! Here, I'll show you!

1) Vintage

This look is SO easy to recreate! Simply keep the eyes fresh with very little eyeshadow and play with a bold lip color! Go ahead and curl your hair however you would like and sweep it to one side. This will create a quick and effortless vintage look!

Tip: If you're going for a bold lip-choose a liquid lipstick! I stain my lips with a liner to lock it in, then finish with the color. Here I am wearing "seductive" by our friends @girlactik !

2)Floral

This look is perfectly feminine without feeling too young. The floral pattern is playful and timeless-plus looks great in photos! Really let the pattern speak for itself by pairing it with fresh dewy makeup and neatly placing your hair in a bun. This will allow the pattern to stand out and show off your beautiful face!

Tip: Did you know your lipstick can also be your blush?? And now is the time for fresh skin! Here we have Miss Chloe  beautifully playing with this trend!

3)Monochromatic

(Using the same color)

Lace is such a beautiful delicate fabric-why not play with the color?? Try a bold color and let that be your statement! You can always play with different textures to create something brand new! Here we have Lovely Olivia playing with a gorgeous fall tone in her dress and her cheeks!

Tip: Your date can play along too! This is a great way to let everyone know you are a team and ready to have a blast! Choose your favorite color then play with textures!

4)Modern Goddess

Ommmgggg if this isn't my favorite look almost ever. And it is SO EASY! Just go for a longer flowy gown and voila! Whichever color, long gowns show an easy breezy vibe. Stick with simple jewelry pieces to create a modern take on the look. Here we have the lovely Angela showing us how it's done!

Tip: The trick is to keep the focus on the face! In ancient times, full brows were all the rage. They create a frame bringing the focus to your eyes! Keep everything soft and neutral and try styling your hair with braids!

In the end, fashion and style isn't about size-it's about showing your personality. What side will you show? Do you want to feel girly? Quirky? Classic? Chic? You pick! I can't wait to see your photos from your dances this year!!!
